  Died at home MERTON HAWKINS Center Moriches- Funeral services were held from the Methodist church on Thursday afternoon for Merton Hawkins, who passed away early Tuesday morning at his home from acute indigestion at the age of 63 years. His friends filled the church to the doors and floral pieces were many, as he was an active member of the church, having been a member of the choir for many years and one of the official board; also a member of the Masonic lodge, Warrata Lodge and Silva Rebekah Lodge, I O O F. He leaves a widow and one sister, Mrs Mitchell Stevens of Westhampton Beach. The various lodges attended the service. Burial was in Mt Pleasant cemetery.
