The most wonderful woman, Oma Louise Thomas Gordon Prescott, died March 29, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born in Los Angeles, California to George A. and Alice C. Ellis Thomas. First married John Marshall Gordon who died in 1973. On October 6, 1977, Oma and Perrie Prescott were married. Currently, she was a very active Christian woman in the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Oma loved telling stories to children, crocheting afghans and writing poetry. She was a devoted homemaker before going to work at ZCMI where she successfully managed two departments. She has been enjoying retirement for several years.
Her family includes husband, Perrie; two daughters, Candie Jefferson and husband Roy; Angela Gordon; two sons, Victor Gordon, John Gordon; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Browne, Yvette Maxine Goins; brother, George A. Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. She was also loved by many friends.
Funeral services on Monday, April 2nd, 10 am, Larkin Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call on Monday the hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
