      Hattie L. Vogel, 89, town of Centerville resident, went home to her Lord on Friday, June 22, 2007, at Morningside Health Center in Sheboygan.
      She was born on March 9, 1918, in the town of Rhine, Sheboygan County, the daughter of the late Walter and Amanda (Feldman) Laack. She attended Plymouth High School. On June 5, 1937, Hattie was united in marriage to Harry H. Vogel at Saron Reformed Church in the town of Sheboygan Falls, and the couple resided in the town of Centerville, where they engaged in dairy farming. The marriage was blessed with two sons. Mr. Vogel passed away in December of 1978.
      Hattie was a member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland. She served as a Sunday School teacher for 29 years, and was a member of the church Ladies Aid Society. Hattie served many years as a volunteer at Bethesda Thrift Shop in Sheboygan. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, making sure they received a Christian education, and felt honored that they went on in life to serve the Lord in the church and its ministry.
      Hattie is survived by one son: Pastor Vaughn Vogel, Kennewick, Wash.; six grandchildren: Lisa (Paul) Rittierodt, Auburn, Wash.; David (Tracy) Vogel, Grand Rapids, Mich.; Daniel (Amy) Vogel, Appleton; Pastor Michael (Michelle) Vogel, Calgary, Canada; Pastor Joel (Jocelyn) Vogel of Marietta, Ohio; and Timothy (Anna) Vogel, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; ten great-grandchildren, dear Christian neighbors and many Christian friends.
      Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; one son: Virgil; one daughter-in-law: Judy; one great-grandson: Jonathan; and one sister: Elba Landweher.
      Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2007, at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland. Pastor David Endorf will officiate, and burial will follow at the Saxon Cemetery in the town of Centerville.
      Friends may call at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday afternoon from 3 p.m. until the hour of service.
      A memorial fund for WELS Walking Together, St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Luther Church, or a charity of your choice has been established in Hattie Vogel's name.
      The Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel of Cleveland is assisting the family with these funeral arrangements.
